The toggle switch is for the on/off (right hand of the steering wheel), and the switch to operate the winch was put next to the AC (using power window switch - see red circle).
Well, the used winch have been tested in a couple offroad trips and so far it's OK. It's a bit slow compares to Warn winches but never fail to deliver (UPDATES: 1 failure so far, loose connection to the motor), of course I only used it to pull my lightweight Sierra (±2500 lbs max), never really tested to pull out a heavy FJ-40. Show moreot;, original Sierra's wheel is 5.5") and its negative offset, my Sierra track width is slightly wider, thus the tire is no longer covered by the flares (need to wash the car more often, but it looks cooler I think). So after a loooong saving up, I appointed my brother as the project manager for fresh'en up the Sierra (cause I live far..far away). He bought brand new doors (left, right & back), new engine hood, scratch the old paint, change most of the body, pick it up, and fix the chassis etc.. Show Less
