This is Veronica, it was the original Volvo turbo I had when I first created my cardomain page, it was a 1985 760 Turbo with a B230ET. Not a bad car, but wa... The term rough could be somewhat of an understatement for this car, I had plenty of stuff to replace in it, engine wise, and elsewhere, including items like a FPR, in-tank pump, and the problem I had with the wastegate seized shut when I first got it, 10 psi is nice, but not when you have to constantly drive around a damn overboost switch all the time. Engine performance mods were limited to some creative intake work, and a 2.5 inch exhaust, which did not need a cat because the B230ET was a leaded spec motor.
Basic before and after suspension pics, on the 760 I used Sachs Advantage Gas shocks all around, which I must say were very nice, and unfortunately King Springs, which sat too high in the front and to low in the rear...
Probably the nicest pics I have of the 760 now, quit easy to see the rear sitting low here, it was actually bottoming stuff out over rough stuff, so it was too soft as well, a right pain overall.
In the end I got thicker custom made rear springs, .5mm oversize from the original supplied, it at least evened out the ride hight.
When I was all done it rode and handled very well, kind of stock height looking, but very fast over all sorts of roads, anyone who drive it was very impressed, in some ways I miss it, but it's nice to have something cleaner overall.
About the only thing missing was a thicker front bar, which I did buy, but never got around to fitting, I figured why waste it on the 760 when I could save it for the 745, which is now my current ride. Show Less
