I finally finished building and installing my Gen 6 454. This motor came from a 2000 bus. The motor was originally damaged from hurricane Sandy. After a qui... Show moreck clean up, and new bearings, pistons and rings. I went with a mercruiser M1 roller camshaft, LS5 454 heads ( cleaned up and milled, 2.19 intake valves) this motor should easily make 420 hp, originally i was going to go with higher compression pistons and regrind the M1 cam to XR282 cam specs. But unfortunately i became a full time student and had to make tough choices, but school won out. Im almost finish with the install, i still have some fuel plumbing to do, and verify my timing. But all in all I feel proud for a motor i assembled in my basement and 10x20 garage ( what a pain to install the engine under that condition) Show Less
June / July Happy 4th everyone considering that im broke, i decided to work on all the little things that would not cost too much but can change the look of ... Show moreteh car some. Since i used the vinel paint on the seats i decided to use them on the door pannels also. I already did one a couple of months ago so i guess its time for the other pannels. Also while reading a issue of Super Chevy i came across a tough biscayne that was black with a red interier, and seeing how that is how i want to do my car, i brought my rattle cans and got started.
