March 2006. The first National Meet of The Lincoln Mark VII Club.
November 2005. Changed tranny fluid and the car shifts fine. Put it back in storage.
January 2005. Transmission felt funny. Put it back in storage.
January 2004. Painted and stored at home.
December 2003. Bodywork update.
October 2003. A Ford Tempo hit my ride.
September 2003. Finally able to take a couple beauty shots.
August 2003. Replaced Bill Blass wheels with Cast Aluminum wheels.
Replaced sway bar bushings.
July 17, 2003. Yes...these are Bill Blass wheels and yes, I'm having them mounted with 225/60R16's and yes, they're going onto an LSC. So sue me .
July 3, 2003. NEW and UNUSED 60 spoke wheels have been found in a warehouse in Texas and ordererd.
July 1, 2003. OLDSCHOOL 1 is HOME! The hardtop has been completely recovered and the body has been painted!
Mid-June 2003. She has now been turned over to the hard top restoration guys at another location.
June 2003. After primer was applied, THREE coats of paint were applied and TWO coats of clear coat. Every inch of the car is (again) covered in shop dust.
May 2003. After complete sanding was accomplished, FIVE coats of primer were added.
April 2003. After sanding the body, the hood and decklid was removed and sanded separatley.
March 2003. The hard top and all trim, including bumpers, were removed for sanding, pulling, and filling of all blemishes. At this point, every inch of the car is covered in shop dust.
February 2003. Once in the shop, the boys and girls at Springfield Ford thought I was nuts for selecting a dealer to completely restore the body of a (then) 12 year old car. I choose them due to the Ford Motor Company standards they follow.
June 2002. Oldschool 1 after the mechanical phase (with no aftermarket parts) of restoration. The exterior phase begins here.
