I wont post a picture of the holes I drilled since that is toooooo ugly!Now that the whole car is covered in paint I can share a few more pictures. I almost ruined my keyboard with the drooling when I was lookin at these:)This is just too sweet!! So it was taken apart, reset and all the numbers re-painted. The ... Show moreblack background was cleaned off and painted interior color as with the inner face of the bezel. The outer bezel was re-chromed.
A few pics of the finished dash, about all that's left here is mounting the tach, guages and switches without drilling any extra holes. Show Less

Still some bad spots though. In time, in time. Fire up that welder Phil! We're counting on YOU!! And now just a couple days later, some new metal is added and almost finished. Little bit of glazing to cover the weld. But nothing like I like the mudpie that I would have made!! Phil needs to move'er around, so I had to give him a nice seat to sit on!! hehehe Get off the pot Phil!!Say Bye Bye to that pesky gas cap. With a fuel cell who needs it anyway!! You can see my "old" hood in the background, makes a good donor for all the added sheetmetal for this project.Test panel for the scallop install, turned out pretty good so time to move on to the real thing.On to the drivers fender. Whats that saying "measure twice drill once" More like measure 10 times!!!Eeek! Drill holes in that new fender, what the!! Looks good though, or does it?? I guess it is back to work!!!Now if your a Chevy II fan, I know what your thinking. What the heck with putting scallops on a '63, they don't belong there!! Well I know that, but I like it and they sure look cool!! Besides that I paid enough for them. So if I ever put this car on EBAY the guys at "Steves" can bag on me all they want!!! Show Less
