My Proton Wira 4G63T VR4
Ok, here's a brief description of my car. It started out to be a year 1996 Proton Wira 1.5GL running with sluggish automatic tra... Show morensmission & fitted with late 80s' Megavalve engine licensed by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (Japan). It's still running with carburetor system & it's one of the most hot-selling car models in Malaysia that time.
Things took a turn in year 2003, when i've decided to go for an engine swap to a powerplant originated from Galant E39A VR4. Bought the engine back & then spent lotsa effort, time & of coz $$$ for a full rebuilt. Been running smoothly & boosting at 1.2bar with A'pexi SAFC2 piggyback & some other gadgets from Blitz along with full exhaust system from HKS (Super Drager full set originated from LanEvo 3 bought from chop shop). Done up quite lots of mix & match, trial & error mods on it that eventually blown the engine somewhere in July 2004. Rebuilt the engine with some internals from LanEvo 2-3 & Nissan's SR20DET pistons. The rebuilt engine lasted me till early of year 2005 before I downgraded to a 1.8L.
Currently in year 2005, i'm swapping my VR4 4G63T for a hybrid 1.8 MIVEC matched with a 4G93T engine block & bigger pistons as the previous engine wouldn't allow me to get approval from JPJ (M'sia Transport Ministry). It's bcoz i've go beyond the Ministry's 25% upgrade from original engine capacity (my chassis was a 1.5L).
Will update more on my car once it's done with the engine swap & major exterior & interior touchup. Stay tune alrite! ;)
UPDATE 27 March 2008: It's been some time since I updated my ride here. Running perfectly fine with my hybrid MIVEC project & managed to obtain 192.8 bhp on wheels from dyno run. I've also upgraded to eManage piggyback ECU to control & manage my engine's operation. I'll update later with more details & photos as well.
Oh yea, I've purchased a 1996 SXV-10 Toyota Camry & currently pimping it out towards VIP styling. Show Less
