5/29/03For now I'll leave this page untouchedoldI can get L7?s direct from Kicker so I decided to give those a try again. I don?t have everything hooked ... Show moreup yet because I am still working on the enclosure. I have two 8? L7?s and an Orion HCCA 225 Digital Reference Amplifier. I got the 8?s based on pure curiosity. I loved the 10? I used to have so I thought I might as well give these a try. I got an excellent deal on the Orion and I?ve always heard good things about them so I?m going to see how I like it.I have most of the hard stuff done on the box. Now I just have to fill all the holes and cracks with bondo, sand, and paint. I already have over 6 hours into the box but that is because I had to make all the cuts with a jig saw?LOL? I?m too lazy to setup my table saw but it sure would have saved me time. Another thing that took up a lot of time was after I got everything screwed together I decided to go back and countersink all the screws, but that will make the bondo job a lot easier. It will all be painted silver except the inside of the "amp rack." The inside is going to be painted white.Long before I had my orion/kicker setup I used to have a Linear Power 2.2HV. That amps is awesome! If you ever come across one you should buy it! I love my zapco's but the 2.2 may have been just a little better imo :) A couple weeks ago I bought a new Elemental Designs E12k. These subs are great. They have really good sound quality yet it was pretty loud too. As good as the sound quality was it wasn't as good as the OZ Audio matrix 250L's I used to have. So when I saw a 300L I had to have it and I sold the e12k. The 300L doesn't get near as loud as the e12k but the SQ is amazing! Go with the e12k if you want a good balance of SQ and SPL. The sound of the e12k is very similar to eclipse aluminums. I sold my 31? Mud terrains and bought some BF Goodrich 32x11.50R15 All-Terrains which seem to provide a lot better traction for the type of off-roading that I do. They are 10 times quieter than the mud tires too! The only bad point about the new tires is they rub a lot more because of the bigger size. Here are some pictures from Farmington Canyon which is here in Northern Utah. I will have some awesome pics from moab posted in about two weeks from today(7/19/02.) Show Less
