The car I bought back in 2003
Following a small road accident I decided the car needed beef... Show moreing up a little.
So when it came back from the body shop it recieved a 3 inch body raise and 33" tyres were slapped on.
The poor old 2.4 turbo diesel just did not have what was needed to turn those 33" wheels so i whipped it out and slapped in a 3 litre (5L series) with a hybrid turbo and injector pump setup.
Later that year I entered an offroad competition and descovered that power is not everything, to get with the game I needed to be able to lock up the axles so for xmas 2005 she got front and rear ARB lockers.
Competition was all that much more fun and I finished 3rd getting the highest up a particularly tricky hill section.
The bit of offroad fun had turned into an addiction. Fueled by the crowds and fans I decided she needed to go BIG.
Custom modified wish bones and 4" bolt on spools where fabricated to extend the track width by 8"
A close situation early 2006 prompted the need for a roll cage and so one grew over the outside and then 35" mud meats bolted on.
This combination was deadly and she cleaned up the competion end of 2006 with little difficulty.
The hunger for BIG continued and early 2007 she received a 4 inch suspension raise and 38.5" boggers. Modifed rear suspenion to include a ball jointed a-frame instead of the 4 bar link and panhard... this marked the end of daily driver role as i invested in a more suitable car to squeeze around town in. But occasionally I take for a spin around town to give the fans what they desire! Show Less
