So here is my basic plan for the custom audio installation, and I have to be careful because I still want some room in the back, and the spare ti... Show morere well is huge (the lift door for the spare tire well takes up the complete space for the hatch)
I want to custom fiberglass two subs into the sides of the back, and probably install shallow subs. I have experenice with fiberglass, but I am still trying to design a basic mold and layout to fit in the back. I know I'll have to cut the spare tire lift door. Though I might just end up taking out the spare tire and sticking two 10's in there and fiberglass the subs in there. That would leave me space, but I really don't want to remove the spare tire.
Also I plan on replacing all of the stock speakers, and tweeters. Though again I believe I will cut the door panels and custom fiberglass the tweeter housing in the door for a nice look.
Also I will paint all of the interior panels and dynomat the car at the same time.
Stock sound system isn't too bad, but I just need more. So hopefully when I get the money the project will start. Just need to find the time. I am a full time college student, and I work 28 to 34 hours a week so it will be a slow process
For the interior I plan on taking off all of the interior vinyl and painting it black. At the same time I am going to trying to replace the carpet with black carpet. Also I plan on dynomating the interior. The hardest part of this will be painting the steering wheel. I still haven't figured out how exactly I will go about this, but when the time comes I'll figure it out.
I would also like to replace the seats, but that will trip the air bag lights due the the fact there is an air bag sensor attacthed to the seats.
Also I want to add a green interior light kit (currently I only have little L.E.D. lights). I believe green would contrast nice to the black and hopefully to the future paint job.
My plan for the outside of the car is to get the ZUK bodykit (or if another bodykit comes out before I buy I might get that one)and remove the roof racks (possible). I also plan to run a true dual exaust system with dual carbon fiber wrapped tips. Then I also need to get a new paint job, though I am still not sure on the color.
I plan on different rims as soon as the stock tires need changing. Still looking around on different sites for prices and different wheel design. I might stick with the stock 16's but 17's would look nicer. If I go with the 17's though I'll need to get the spedo reset. Need to see how much the dealer will charge for that first.
Some HID lights are also in the future for my Sx4. With L.E.D. tail lights to complete the look. Stealth singal light bulbs will also help with the look.
Also I might lower the car (though my driveway may not allow it) I am still not sure on this yet though.
A possible underbody light kit is also on my mind.
Under The Hood
Under the hood is pretty much finished for now anyway. I would like to get some headers, new cams, and a throttle body spacer whenever the come out for the Sx4. But for now the current mods are fine for me (yes I would like more, but there's not much else out there, which is why I'm looking into getting some parts custom made). Only thing I am planning for now is the ECU, and possible painting some more of the bolts.
Also I'm currently trying to get some custom headers made to replace the exhaust manifold. I have found a shop to make them, but they need the stock manifold to get the measurements, which is kinda a problem because currently my Sx4 is the only car I have and Suzuki wants 400 dollars for a new manifold. So right now I'm trying to see if I can find any wrecked Sx4's near by to rip the manifold off.
As soon as I get the body kit i'm replacing the entire exhaust (hopefully including the manifold). I plan on a Magnaflow universal high flow cat, with a y-pipe leading from it to dual 2" pipes all the way back to carbon fiber wrapped tips. Also hopefully I will find a way to get some custom headers made by this time. Show Less
