So far this is all I have of the new gearbox...It's a 2900 Stall Congertor. After taking my camshaft spec sheet and dyno reports into the convertor manu... Show morefacturer this is what they made up for me. About a quarter of the gearbox rebuild cost went on the convertor.

The transmission has been finished and just have to be picked up, will be going in within a week along with the diff gears. Also converting to Kalmaker as soon as I can get the kit.
Got around to putting in clear-indicator taillights as well. Have to take a piccie soon and post up the difference

Got the trans in last night, all I can says is 'wow!! what a difference!'
Instead of bogging down like it used to it just squats and launches (albeit with a few minor traction issues).
When you drive normally with the high stall it behaves like a normal transmission, just with the slightest feeling of a slipping clutch, but if you mash the throttle the tacho jumps straight to 28-2900rpm. With the shift kit it breaks traction going into second.
Next stop... diff gears!
Update: May 2007
Had 3.45 diff gears fitted. Actually improved the shift pattern as it was tending to shift late after the trans with high-stall went it. Now it shifts into overdrive at 80km on the highway again whereas before it couldn't decided whether or not to at 100km.
Also fitted Koni Yellow shock absorbers all round. Made a great improvement! Rides firmer and smoother at the same time. Also lowered it another inch and found that it doesn't bottom out where it did before due to the shockies actually doing their job properly. Show Less

After about a year I finally got around to putting in an LSD centre.

Have been to arrange a new gearbox!
Going for corvette servos, stage 1 or 2 shift kit (haven't decided yet), hardened shell drive, 2800 stall (waiting for convertor people to come back as to what they think after I sent cam specs)
Also thinking of changing diff gears at the same time - just have to confirm how to sort out the issues with the speedo and shift points. Show Less
