This is my 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL which is basically an old school S Class.
No my car is not Diesel, I get asked that a lot but it is indeed a thirsty V8... Show more engine. After 25 years use and a few different owners, my car still runs great and it still has the original engine in it :).
I really like this car, its just different than what most everyone else here drives. Its heavy as hell, a classic, and is in relatively good condition. Doesn't that paint job look nice? ;) I feel like I'm wanting to restore this car, but then again with some of this shit I've put into this, its not exactly keeping it original. I also wanna put some new rims on my car but I don't know what size to really go with that will fit my W116 without having to modify a bunch of things or compromise the overall ride quality just to accomodate some larger chrome rims. :p
Tinted my windows finally, more pics to come as soon as I find a nice clear day and my car is washed :P.
So far I've got 2 amps in the trunk, one of which is a JL 500/1 mono block subwoofer amp pushing one sub (which handles 500 r.m.s. to 1,000 watts max) and blah blah blah. Read the side thingy, it tells you some stuff :P. My car is a work in progress :)
I got rid of my piece of shit rear deck and had a custom one built for my car :). My speakers are nowhere to be seen now. Old pics by the way before tinting my windows :P. Show Less
What does the interior of a 27 year old car look like?
Well its not perfect....
New radio glowing away. ;)
Last thing you'd see i... Show moref my car were running you over. >:P
Here she is from front to back :P
The tint I recently put is so fucking dark that anyone riding inside cannot be seen from outside the car. :D
my car's rear :P
My car's big ass battery! I had to buy a bigger bracket to make room for this thing ;). It's a 13 inch 12V 100 AH battery that weighs like 60 lbs! My old battery was a 10 inch 12V 65 AH battery :P. And on the right is the shit I have in my trunk which I plan on changing out in the future with something better/more powerful and more aesthetically uniform. Show Less
