Engine after the rebuild- Replaced the stock exhaust manifold with dual headers and seperate straight pipes.- The 1 barrel manifold and the carb. is replaced... Show more by a 2 barrel intake manifold and a Motorcraft 2 bbl #108 450 CFM carburetor.- The distributer is now a Delco Remy for the chevrolet inline 6 engines, but it fitted perfectly, weee perfect timing at any RPM!!- K&N 60-1280 Custom air filter- New Duralast waterpump- 4 core radiator.
Dont worry about the engine bay / body paint, first i wanna show ignorant people how a rusty old car can hold up better than any modern 4, 6 and even some 8 cyl. cars.
January 2011 - Something very rare hapened, i decided to read (WTF!) all the info i have about the car and found out its not just a Gremlin... Its a real Gremlin X with the ORIGINAL digital RPM meter (no one believes that but the contract doesnt lie). That makes me very happy because i just won a few bets :)
After 1000 km driving at 70 kph (43.5 mph) max speed the engine is running cool, stable, quiet and very powerfull, but still needs some tweeks. I started testing it a little bit and found out that the 2nd gear reaches 110 kph (68 mph) in just a few seconds, and the max speed is 175 kph (110 mph) Show Less
