My first car was a 1980 Toyota Celica and I love'd it. One day in a junk yard roaming around I discovered the 1976 Toyota.. It had no tires, up on blocks, primer grey but the interior was in good shape so I made an offer. The next payday, cash in hand I went back to the yard to pick her up.! ! ! The Toyota was gone... sold. Very disappointed I continued to drive the 1980.
I had seen the Celica driving around once and awhile but I never saw it for sale. A year or so later in another junk yard I found it again. This time with some tires and a new muffler. They didn't want to sell, ownership was in question, and people owed other people money. So, no Celica. I went to school. 2 years had passed. I was reading the local free paper and there it was "FOR SALE" I jumped on the nearest phone and bought it the following day. It had been painted and some engine and other mechanical work had been done. Finally I was able to put the 1980 Toyota to rest and started driving a stylish car,br.
