This page shows a bit more happening thru the stages, starting to get more appeal.
Ok, theres a bit of a story around the time this was taken. This pic was t... Show moreaken 1 day after i got it re-sprayed. The painter knew i had to have my car in a show the following day and he left it till the last minute to do all the finishing work (putting lights and seals back in/on etc) plus buff it. The venue of the show was an hours drive and i had to have it in the show grounds by that night. I arrived early to pick it up, only to find i had to wait hours for him to finish. I helped buff it and out of there i was. I then had an awesome new paint job that i didnt really get to see as i was in such a hurry to get the my destination. Luckily i got there in time and everything was perfect. I got alot of comments from the judge saying how much he liked the idea of an older, not so popular car that had been fully transformed into a modern looking car. I was stoked even though i walked away with no awards. That night, we all got our cars out of the show grounds ready for a cruise that had been organised for us. Next comes the bad part, bearing in mind that my paint job was 1 day old, a green mitsubishi galant didnt slow down enough for an intersection while on the cruise and slammed into the back of me. I was devastated, i felt like everything i'd worked so hard for has just been taken away from me. I was left with a practically split rear kit, the passenger side rear corner was pushed in, and moulding that had been done in prep for the paint job was all split and missing. It took between 6-9 months for the guy to pay to get it fixed. I just hope that this never happens again (or at least not 1 day after getting a new paintjob lol).
