11/08/2004 I purchased my new 2005 V6 Mustang. I think Ford has really done a fine job on producing this vehichle. Anyway the car is quick as hell speci... Show moreally for a V6 I am guessing a high 14 or low 15 second 1/4 mile. I am 6'1" and a pretty big guy and this car is by far more comfortable that most cars I have rode in or driven. This car has the Shaker 500 system which has 8 inch subs mounted in the doors with 250 watt amps pushing each one plus upgraded plate speakers in the doors and back deck and for factory the stock head unit is 6 disc changer that plays mp3's and puts out 120 watts to the plate speakers. I have installed a K&N filter that I found to work dimensions are 10x10 and you can look up the part number on K&N's website and if you trust me here it is (33-2033) if you have a new stang and want a filter that works. Well three weeks later K&N decided to put a filter out so here is the # for it (33-2298). I also had a muffler shop put a flowmaster 50 series in and wow you wouldn't believe this was a 6er if you heard it. You should check out http://forums.2005fordmustang.com/ it's a great community, people are friendly, and some good info on any year mustang. http://forums.bradbarnett.net Here is another good forum with friendly people and good info this site also has large amount of photos, wall papers, time line, the owner really put together a great place for Mustang enthusiasts to get together. 3.8mustang.com has lots of great info and have taken the hassle out of trying to find mods they have it all listed for you with part#'s for interior/exterior/& performance. I had way to many problems with it plus overall it didn't really perform as well as I had hoped with the money i put into it. Anyway the next 3 pages timeline you through my owner ship of the mustang.
Now I got a 2004 Impala SS which was new not used has 197 miles on it with 240 Horse power supercharged 3.8 liter. It's jet black, tan leather, kicking stock stereo, and love the SS emblems on the interior and exterior! Pics and mods to follow soon. Did I mention I have a Hemi Durango also which has a few mods in it's future.
This is the muffler i had removed from the Durango and installed a straight pipe.

07/24/05 Haven't updated in a while. I have installed a smaller pulley which increased boost, copper core spark plugs, cooler thermostat, throttle body spacer, ported and polished aluminum coated exhaust manifolds. Tomorrow my electronic exhaust cutoff valve comes in which will let me open the exhaust right after the headers with the flip of a switch and I have an even smaller pulley coming which should give me 16 lbs of boost. The day after tomrrow my self contained tuning system comes in which will let me completly tune every aspect of the computer almost like a stand alone fuel management system.
08/11/05 preparing for the track tomorrow! Installed a 3inch custom downpipe with no cat or rear O2. Gotta love the tuner I can shut off all engine lights associated with cats and o2 and still pass my state inspection! Exhaust cut off thing didn't work!
08/12/05 Track sucked bug time. NO TRACTION for me! I was cutting 2.7 60ft times hell stock these do 2.3 so lots of potential still managed a 14.8 considering the 60ft time i consider that good. This car is definitly a 13 sec car! Smaller pulley and higher ratio rockers coming soon.
09/04/05 DAMN gas!!! I backed off the tuning and disengaged the supercharger until gas turns for the better. When your also filling a Hemi Durango that goes 70 miles a day you got to cut somewhere and it's gotta be using 87 instead of 93 in the impala.
Well Tuning has been put on hold again temporarily as the PCM was fried. Alky injection came in yesterday and will be installed soon along with a 3.2 pulley. On my way cause 12's are in sight.
Car was running mid 13's and the tranny didn't shift and well the car went past redline.
My engine blew up burnt 2 pistons back to a stock car with full magnaflow custom exhaust. New engine installed. Stock and happy that way. Show Less
