this is my 1992 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR RS
it is RS spec meaning that it is lighter than the normal GSR lancers and much rarer.
also comes has Front a... Show morend Rear LSDs and a close ratio RS gearbox.
the car has no aircon, wind up windows, no sound deadning and different interior to regular GSRs.
the wheels are 18 inch DTM 157s wrapped in 215/35/18 tyres
they only just fit in the guards. they are also very light. lighter than the 17s and tyres that came with the car when i got it.
the car has relatvily factory bodywork (black door handles and no rear windscreen wiper because its RS) just added some GSr side skirts and tinted the tailights. afetr the phots were taken i added an evo 2 front bumper to allow room for my intercooler.
the interior has retrimmed doorcards and seats in red and black vinyl.
also a monsta tacho with shiftlight, boost gauge, A/F ratio gauge and aftermarket steering wheel, gearknob and pedals.
the car is lowered using compressed VR4 springs on brand new koni shocks and sits 90mm of the ground at the lowest point.
the engine is a 4g93t (1.8 turbo) which has been freshly rebuilt.
the turbo is soon to be upgraded from the standard tdo4 to a tdo5h-14g from a vr4 for more top end. the tdo4 ran out of boost early (5500rpm)
it also has a vr4 front mounted intercooler (not pictured) and custom piping to be fitted.
the car uses a HKS SSQV to stop compressor surge and will use a 38mm tial external wastegate to bring on boost slightly earlier and stop boost creep caused by the 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust from the turbo back.
the car has a basic stereo system consisting of a Alpine CD player, front splits and rear 6x9s.
this car is deceptvly quick running consistent 13 second quarter mile times on the Gtech with the factory turbo and intercooler.
