This MX-3 is not near finished yet. There is quite a bit that needs to be taken care of; valve stem seals leak causing a burst of smoke at start up. The bo... Show moredy will be lowered. Performance Friction's carbon metallics will be put on all around along with Bosch rotors. Calipers will be painted black. Hood decal will be taken off and whole body will be touched up with a fresh coat of black paint.
Interior is near done, but there are random pieces that will have to be sourced for a showroom look.
Engine will be rebuilt, again, as the PO didn't do a swell job, let alone the wiring nightmare he left behind. Lower compression pistons will be used, ARP bolts/studs, Cometic HGs, ACT 2100/2300 pressure plate with street disc/6 puck, lighter flywheel for the transmission and a different transmission altogether. The transmission in the vehicle is from the B6 SOHC. Good gear ratios to get going, but no top end and quite weak. KL-DE/K8 transmission for the strength.
Single turbo will be put on along with a new EMS to control fuel and spark.
Quite big plans, but she'll definitely scoot down the road much quicker. Show Less
