This is my 1971 nova that I have had for 5 years and spent a little time working on. On the outside of the car I have only really pulled the trim off and gri... Show morended the studs smooth, and put new front glass in.
I have pulled the motor (307) and trany (powerglied 2 spd) and put in...this is the best part...the same 307 (freshend up of course) with a turbo 400 trany out of a 70 vet w/ a 454BB. The trany has a shift kit in it as well. It will rip off the tires in frist and let out a nice hard "chirp" in second. I am working a twin turbo set up at the time but so I can still drive it I have used the stock motor. I have changed everything in and on it except the crank and heads...other wise as you can see it has all the bolt on's I can get...almost.
A quick pic of the not so finished exhaust work...right now Im running FlowTech headers, custom 3" piping and FlowTech mufflers...It sounds like a BigBlock.
I have put in white face guages, oil pressure, water temp, and a tach...so far.
I gutted the interior and put in the only thing neccassary as of now... a driver seat. First I put in all new full length floor pans from goodmark...they were actually easier then I thought they would be...just alot of messuring and cutting to do.
I have also put the battery in the truck for a cleaner look under the hood.
I made a piece of aluminum and bent/formed it so I could put my large wire boxs and sensors into my fender rather then on the front radiator support to eliminate some cluster when the hood is poped.
I HAD to burn a little rubber one day because my cusin (a ford fan) said it wouldnt do it and it was all bark no bite...
I must say he didnt know what to say after the NICE LONG burn out on the road in front of my house...
