This is my 1983 Chevy S-10. i bought it July 8, 2005 about 2 months after my 14th birthday, i have been working on it since. and this is what it looks like n... Show moreow!! The truck used to have a 2.8L, then it got an engine swap to a 5.0L(in the picture) and now its getting another upgrade this to a 5.7L 355ci. One of the Best mechanics in town is building the motor, we went with a 350 block had a .030 bore increase, keith black pistons, scat 6.0 rods, we are thinking about going with aluminum heads, but that will all depend on how much money i have left over in the end. it has a edelbrock air gap intake, with comp cam, and MSD ignition, SFI balancer and flywheel. John Day (the man putting all this together) seems to think it will have around 450-470hp, depending on what heads i use. he thinks it will go mid to low 11's in the quarter.A few of the swaps ive done on the truck is obviously the engine, i have also converted it to manual brakes, and manual steering, i also replaced the radiator mount and got rid of the 83' grille and got a 93' grill.so far the 355 is almost done, all we need is heads, and we are still trying to decide what we should use for a carb.we are getting an aluminum drive shaft made as soon as we make a trip to minnesota to pick up our 8.5 10bolt rear endit has a TH-400 tranny. verry strong, wont have to worry about breaking it at all. the pictures of the truck that you see here, are a few months after i will update this with a few pictures i took last summer, but i also want to add some pictures of the recent days because currently the whole front clip is off the truck and ready for the 305 to be taken out and the new 355 to be put in. so i wanted to get some pics of that. thanks for reading!!!!! hope you enjoy the truckdo ya like it?
I will get some better pics of the motor. Show Less
