Oil System:The oiling system for this car started out OEM LS2, but I quickly found out this would not work for various reasons, foremost of which was the use... Show more of the invertied 930 transaxle. Inverting the transaxle allows it to be used in a mid-engined configuration (another option is to swap the ring gear to the other side of the case, but that is more complicated process). A byproduct of inverting the transaxle is that it raises the transaxle in relationship to the engine, or if view from another point of view, lowers the engine in relationship to the transaxle. This could be considered a good thing in that it lowers the CG of the heaviest component in the car (the engine) by about 6 inches. The downside is that at normal ride height (5"), the pan actually touches the floor. So my only other choice (the engine had to be as low as possible due to the bodywork issues, and raising the engine up also raises the transaxle, which then puts the driveshafts at a bad angle) is to dry-sump the motor.I chose the Dailey Engineering dry sump system due to its compact design, and very shallow pan (1.75" deep). The photos below show the pan-mounted pump under the inverted/swapped sides motor mounts along with a manufacturer photo. Show Less
