This my old omni.
I bought it from a nice house wife, who was a real nice lady - she was the car's second owner. But she might as well have counted f... Show moreor the first because she got it from a old man who barely drove it, that was her story.
I guess they never put much in the trunk.
I guess they never used the back seats that much either.
The driver's set is the only worn seat, but thanks to the seat covers they used the seat is proper for my royal ass.
I'll be putting some use to the seats.
The 2.2 motor is zippy, but nothing too special. I was surprised when I beat my friends 300Zx (nonturbo) lol. But the car is soo light, even if I push the pedal only halfway, the car zips past other cars like it a sewing machine.
This is the what most cars see, when they let their guard down lol.
The body is not dented, not even small dents. I am thinking about doing a full repaint, or at least spray bomb.
I did install some custom wheels, but dang, did it they look mean. 225/45/16's and they fit! I couldn't believe it. But because the car is not lowered, I was riding tall. It sure looked bling-bling, but the stock wheels would contribute more to its performance, as it is now. Bling bling isn't the car's style, yet. I decided to sell them because the money could go to so many beneficial performance/ reliability upgrades. I have already used some money from the wheels towards new door handles (Nice quality - for when I repaint), and a new hydraulic hatch. $30 burnt, $360 to go (wheel money). The guy who bought them (wheels) needed them more than I did, when he came to pick them up I saw he had dented his wheels really bad. For the week he drove on them he said he had to fight to keep the car straight. He got a great price for them, $400 for the Estrella 16" with mounted and balanced
Here's a piture of the wheels that were on the car, they sure looked nice, but boy did they weigh more than the stock wheels.
Having used to work at a wheel and tire shop, I got to examine up close the different tires and their respective qualities. I'd have to say that the Euro TA ranks as a quality tire, however, these days there ar much better tires to be had for the price. KUHMO ECSTA and YOKOHAMA ES100 are among some of the better deals (performance to cost ration) to be had these days.
I put in a K&N filter, wow it feels so much more relaxed on the freeway, I can barely hear the engine. But on the street, if I open the throttle, the car sounds like it is getting mean on me.
Gotta love that engine
I hope one day it doesn't turn into a beast like this...
Cut and past to see my daily driver!
