THE JEEP IS SOLD. NEW CHEROKEE COMING SOON!
I sold my XJ to a buddy of mine. His member name is Pickpocket. Check hi... Show mores page out to see how the Jeep is doing.
Ok, this is it. A 1991 Jeep XJ, I've had it for about two years now and we've been through a lot together. She's got some sentimental value to her even though she is a piece of crap, but she is still a Jeep. On top of that, an XJ. This thing definately has a story behind every ding and dent though. I'll have a pretty looking one some day but right now I've got this pile. So, hope you like.
Suspension Mods and Everything So Far

Stock Tires and Wheels for now
1 or 2 more inches of lift, Blocks in rear and Spacers in front
Way bigger tires
Lots of Fog Lights
Homemade Intake or Snorkle
Lockers in front and back (Maybe)
Major fender trimming
Fix all the rusted out spots in the rockers, quarters, etc...
Buy a newer XJ sometime, '94-'96 so I don't have to deal with gay ass vaccum engaged 4WD.
Just some random trail riding at some whimpy local trails (Hilt's Landing).
Some pretty good flex with just a 3" lift. I just can't wait to shove some 33's in those wheel wells with some more lift.
This was a pretty big drop off, it felt really cool sitting in the driver's seat and then getting out and trying to get back in and shut the door.
Going up and down the same little crappy ass hill. Oh yea sorry about the crappy pictures it was a rainy day.
Definately no fender rubbing with those little ass tires.
Just a shot of the White River, it runs right through Hilt's Landing and you use to be able to drive right down to it but the damn DNR put up a gate and there is absolutely no way to get to the same spot. It's still an alright place though.
I'll post some more pictures when I get some more at some better trails. And I'll update when I put new crap on it. Oh yea, write some stuff in my guestbook too and give me some ideas or whatever.
Dents, Scrapes, and Scars
This was my first battle wound with my xj. It happened the first summer I had it. The sad thing is that it didn't even happen on the trails. My dad was backing out of the garage to leave for work one day in the summer and he didn't see me parked right behind him and WHAM! He crushed the whole left front with his 2000 Grand Cherokee and only put a tiny dent in the plastic of his rear bumper. The whole blinker assembly and headlight was smashed in and the fender was sticking out about 6 inches. I was so pissed I kicked the fender back in and it kind of straightened everything back out. I got new blinkers, a headlight, and a headlight bezel just so it was legal on the streets. I had to do something about the bumper though so I wrapped my tow strap around a tree, hooked it to my bumper and backed up with a little juice. Yea, a little too much juice, I pulled it out too far so I slowly bumped into the tree to knock it back in and it was straight as can be. At least it looked like it. After that I descided that the dent just added character so I started adding some more.
This happened recently this winter when I was just doing a little trail riding with two friends of mine. It was dark and was snowing and sleating all over and the ground was just wet and slushy. I was just casually driving and a curve on the trail snuck up on me and I slammed on the brakes. Only to slide and collide with the medium sized tree in front of us. It was pretty funny because all tree of us were crapping out pants knowing that it was going to happen but hoping that we would slow down enough. Its ok though, I'll hammer the dent out when it gets warmer. I'm just glad my fog light didn't go through my radiator, I would have been a little upset.
This one was during summer of '05. Once again my dad was backing out of the garage and my backend was hanging out just a little bit and once again, WHAM! He scraped the whole side of his vehicle and smashed up my blinker, but i wasn't really worried about it this time. I don't even know where the endcap went though, I was offroading one day and it just fell off somewhere. Oh well.
I was out wheeling with a buddy riding shotgun and we went through some tight pine trees and it pinched my mirror and it was hanging by the cables. I didn't care the mirror was shattered already from side swiping a mailbox a while before that anyway. So I just hacked that thing off.
This was just after Christmas of '05. My buddy just bought himself a '93 XJ with like a 2.5 inch lift and 31's so we were out riding at night. My girlfriend was with me and the two other guys were leading the way. We stopped at a trail intersection and we were turning around to go another way and I backed up right into a fairly large tree. I thought I busted out my hatch window because the plastic sounded like glass shattering. I caved the taillight into the metal housing and had to pry that crap out then went to the junk yard and got a cheap new taillight. Easy fix, not pretty but its a jeep.
These were just about a week ago, I was out wheelin' with my bro and bro inlaw at some state land my grandpa use to hunt on. My bro had come to visit from california and wanted to see the old hunting blind and everything. The DNR recently blocked off the trails with some baricades and gates so we had to go around. They said they didn't think I could squeeze through the gate post and a tree and I did. And thats why I have a yellow racing stripe down my passenger side and my driver's side mirror is now hanging by the cables.
Ok, I saved the best for last only because this dent just has a halarious story. I was leaving work one day last summer and I was pulling up to an intersection and noticed a guy riding a bike carrying some random groceries on the shoulder of the road. So the light is green and I'm turning thinking that this guy sees the green light and is gonna stop and wait for me to go because he is now in my blind spot and he was on my passenger side where there was no mirror anyway. I get halfway around the turn and hear WHAM! I look in my rearview mirror to see this guy go skidding accross the road and his groceries go everywhere. His 1 gallon of ice cream smashed into my quarter panel and thats why I have that dent now. All was good though, he wasn't seriouslly injured or anything and he said he never saw the green light so thats it. Pretty funny man.
Tires and Rims!
31x11.5x15 Futura Dakota RVT's on 15x8 Extreme Steel Rockcrawler Rims
I love these rims, white Jeeps look killer with black rims. The tires are pretty good too, I got them used but they still have half the tread. They were cheap. They definately get the job done though. A lot better than those stock tires.
I bought this intake for $50 on EBay. It came with a K&N Cylinder Filter and new vacuum hoses. It added a little more torque.
Got a new bumper too!
New fog lights on roof!
These improve night-time riding a lot.
Bigger and better reverse lights!
