As you can see, there were also many rust holes in the sides.
My dad and I filled the holes with a combination of new sheet metal and woven roving fiberglass. We topped it off with some rustoleum primer on the inside.
A self etching primer coated the whole Jeep until the top coat went on. I was almost pleased enough with it at that point to just paint it grey and be done.
After 3 coats of blue enamel it was beginning to look like a Jeep again.
I still had painting left to do but I couldn't resist the mud. I paid for it later when I had to clean it all back up. What can I say, I was 16 and it has a V8. Show Less
