Right after I bought the truck I did a complete lookover and found that the exhaust pipe had a couple small holes in it and the muffler had two hammer head s... Show moreize holes in it. So I figured I would eventually have to replace it. I wanted to anyway so I could put in a Flowmaster exhaust.
Recently I started to notice that I could smell exhaust fumes in the cab and it only seemed to get worse over time. I called Pronto Muffler and Brake and got an estimate for a Flowmaster 40 Series muffler at $160 dumped behind the cab and $280 for dual out the back with chrome tips. With my finances kind of tight lately I decided to get it dumped behind the cab.
When I took it to Pronto I asked if I could take a look at the muffler and take some before and after pictures. Overall it took between 30 and 45 minutes from the time they got it on the lift to pulling it out of the shop. I am very happy with the way it turned out, it looks great and sounds amazing.
Here is what the muffler looked like.
This is what the finished product looks like.
