What the hell happened here.
There were several years of build up information.
Now it is all chopped up, and disorganized.
Not sure if I should just delete, ... Show moredelete & start over....
lots of the information is gone for good.
This was the only record of what was done, what happened & when it all took place.
The year was 1981 I just wrecked my 1974 Plymouth Duster for about the 8th or 9th time. I decided I should go out & replace it. The new car model year wa... Show mores just closing & all the cars on the lot didn't really appeal to me. I drove a Blue Camaro that was not a Z-28. It was ok but not one I really liked. I really wanted a Corvette. ( What single 22 year old guy don't ?) That's when I found out 1982 would be an all new style of Camaro. So I had the body shop piece together the old Duster one last time & waited to see what the new model year would bring. Flash forward to 1982. I really wasn't crazy about what they did with the "new" 3rd Generation Camaro's body style & I had just saved up enough money that I could just barely afford to buy a New Corvette. ( my Dad had this thing where if you were buying anything, especially a car, you saved your money & paid cash.--- No taking out a loan & getting into debt)(If I only knew then what I know now I would have had a 1982 Vette sitting in my garage instead of 3 Camaros) I had a bounch of cash, enough to order a new Vett but the licenseing/ gas guzzler taxes/ & full coverage insurance was a real problem. So trying not to take out a loan, I looked at a Z-28. More in my price range (the poor man's corvette, right?) but the insurance was still a killer. The V8 was the problem. So I orders a V6 sport coupe & thats how it all began.I've got tons of photos, and now that I have a scaner/printer I can't find any of just the 1982 by herself. So this one will have to do for now.
My oldest son, when he was 5 years old begged me to give him my car. So I promised him if he could grow up to be a good kid. Stay away from drugs. Not get in trouble with the law. And graduate from High School. That I would give him my car when he graduated. ( He's now 13 1/2) Just a few more years to go and the camaro will be his. Just a couple of more years & he'll be driving it. MY 1982 Camaro Back then nothing was standard. Just about everything was an option. Show Less

I owe everything I have to my Mom & Dad.
They worked... Show more & saved almost their whole lives.
Waiting for their golden years of retirement.
Only to pass away & leave the proceeds of their years of hard work to me & my brothers & sister.
My parents ran a little neighborhood tavern.
It was while I was working for them that I bought my 1st NEW car.
A 1982 Camaro Sport Coupe.
Here they are together @ their 25th Wedding Anniversary.
And again about 20 years after that.
They were together 47 years before my Mom died in January 1994.
My Dad passed away later in February 1999.
It was after the estate was settled that I purchased the
1991 Camaro - RS - B4C in July 2000.
My sister had been living in our childhood home.
She became ill. Upon her recovery she decided that the house was too big & that we should sell it.
It was after this sale of my childhood home in 2003,
that I took my share & purchased this "NEW" SLP Factory Modified 2002 Camaro SS - SLP
I am blessed many times over.
Here are my 3 Camaros together
--- 1982 Sport Coupe --- 1991 Camaro - RS - B4C --- 2002 Camaro SS - SLP ---
In this photo soon after I brought the 2002 SS home you'll see
me and my two sons ages 8 and 11 at the time.
I would also like to thank my loving wife for not divorcing me.
She would kill me if she knew I posted her work ID photo here.
But it is the most current one I could find.
I did find one of her from 20 years ago when I first met her & fell in love ! ( 1985 was a very good year!)
