Yeah, unfortunatly I sold the Datsun, and now have a 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T coupe. I'd love to have my 510 back, but it wouldn't be practical here in... Show more Atlanta. Anyways, I have had the R/T for a year and a half now and have done a few things to enhance the cars design. It has been lowered 3.5" in the front and about 4.25"in the rear. The headlights are modified with black insides. The fog lights have been rewired to come on with the corner lamps and even stay on when the brights are on. The tail light have been slightly modified. No windshield wipers, The front emblem on the bumper has been shaved along with the rear antennae, trunk key hold, and rear badges and emblems. The side skirts are modified and are off of a Pontiac GTO. The front grille inserts are custom made. Next to get removed are the door handles, the side moulding and r/t badges. The hood will get the wiper washer sprayers relocated to the cowl. I have a few performance parts and modifications on it, but I like to keep them a secret. Well, I hope you enjoy my car. Check out more pics on myspace.com/ridinlownslow. Any tips on modifying would be greatly appreciated. Later! ~~Scott~~ p.s. If you own a stock Mustang GT, don't even try. Show Less
This is my 1979 datsun 510 2 door coupe/hatchback. All original, very straight and NO RUST!!! It has the l20b inline 4 matted to a 3 speed automatic transmis... Show moresion(Soon to get replaced!!).
I purchased this from a guy who had it for 3 months after buying it from the original owner. He couldn't get it to run right and didn't really do anything with it. So I purchased it for $500.00 as is. Within a week, I did a total carburator rebuild and a complete, long overdue tune up. Now the thing runs like new.
I couldn't ask for a better ride, I can only make the one I have, even better. I know it is a rare model of the 510 and am having a hard time finding parts for it or a second car for parts.
I recently got ahold of some 1972 240z SU carbs, and am cleaning and rebuilding them. Plus I got a 4 speed from the same 240z. All for $50.00 thanks to EBAY and the "guy with no clue" syndrome. I sourced a set of competition tires at a great price and as soon as the holidays are over, I'll be throwing some parts on here and there. So its coming along.....slow! If you know of any 510 sources, send them my way! Show Less
