Page 4 pics of body work
on this page you will see some of the body work taking shape as my best freind and i mold the drift kit and shave the handles. also... Show more you'll see pics of future mods.
the first pics are of use test fitting the kit
these next pics you can see how much the kit needed to be restructured to fit. there was just a few areas where there was to much spacing.
thses next pics are of the work on the first day we started by sanding down the whole car.
this pic you can see that we have started shaving the trunk we took out the plastic piece in the middle and welded in a new bracket and then welded in plates where the existing reverse lights went.
next we moved on to the back end and started molding the rear valance and cutting the rear quarter panels that will house the new altezza tail lights. the altezza tail lights are from the 1995 sentra model.
here you can tell how much needed to be cut out and rewelded to fit in the altezzas
and of course we flip flopped the trunk lid this was an easy mod but becarefull not to use to cheap of parts cause it will off set you trunk lid during opening.
so thats pretty much the body work. next is just sanding the rest of it down and buffing parts of the body kit to make it smooth so that it could be painted in primer.
during the primer stage we had to back the car out and turn it around so that we were not getting to much over spary but it all turned out. while we had it in day light we where able to see if there was any low spots in the body work. there was very few areas that needed some extra attention.
then came mounting the front projector lights which we worked on during the front end fitment to make sure that we had enough room and that a snug fit would be acheived.
then all it was,was dusting it off and washing it to prep it for driving. my best friend and i did all the work and my wife dusted the car! thanks for the help wife.LOL!
these are two mods that i would like to do in the future. not sure when we'll get them though.
in this next pic my best freinds bother inlaw was working on the rear springs. kinda looks like i ran over him
so after the new suspension was put in this is how the low the car is while tring to pull into my drive way
