big_als_army: Hwy mate, nice Toz. A 308 conversion is pretty simple. Engineer's look for: steering shaft clearance so you cut two LH/LX unis into it to clear your extractors, V8 braking system minimum LH/LX but better to go HQ and get a better choice of rims with the stud pattern change, and a V8 gearbox so M20/21 or Trimatic minimum better off with a TH350 for auto or Muncie, Toploader or Supra for manual. You don't need to move your steering column or brake booster but it does give you s little bit more clearance if you do. Unbolt your whole front end - radius rods, crossmember to chassis rails, steering cotter pins and brake lines. Lift the body up and roll the complete motor, box and exhaust out on the rolling crossmember. Use HQ or HG 308 mounts and bolt everything up to the front end. once assembled, roll it all back under and drop the body back down. It takes about an hour the first time to get it all out, then closer to half that the next. There are only 6 bolts plus the steering cotter pins and brake lines to undo to get the whole front out. Good luck with it. If you need any V8 or GTR parts or any more info, e-mail me at big_als_army@hotmail.com. Good luck with it!...
