AS40LE: The way i did the gear shift was to buy a aftermarket gear knob and manual gear boot from Mitsubishi for about 20 dollars then remove the stock shifter and then you may need to cut the little plastic stick that make the stock shifter move from gears depending on the hight you dont want to cut it to short as you need to force the new gear knob over to hold it down that way you dont need to push a button to slid the gear knob as the plastic stick is always pushed down its a really simple job and i am sure you will be able to do it....

AS40LE: if you were looking at running your audio system all day would definatly recomend a second battery...
