SCSciontC: I got a generic carbon fiber engine cover, and sanded it down, and dyed the carbon fiber blue. And then I applied a clear Jelly like coat. This is what they usually put on carbon fiber to keep it intact, and looking shiney. Then I applied two coats of clear. It was alot of work, and took me a couple days but it was worth it. The other way I have seen it done is get a candy coat of paint, and just paint overtop the engine cover, and it will give the appearance of it being whatever color you chose. My only regret was not testing it first, cuz the color turned out more teal, turquoise than blue. But I was happy with it....
