fastSSmonte: love the monte's.keep it up to all owners....

mwg55: Hi Carl, First I used a piece of plywood, (to distribute the load), under the tank and raised it enough to slide the 2x6 between the frame and body. Did the same under the tranny tunnel up front. The 2X6's were about 10 foot long so I could jack each corner and slowly raise the body and position the stands outboard of the wheels. I positioned one set of stands in front of the rear end and the other just behind front body mounts, I thought this would be the most stable. Thanks for the paint tips. The strange part is one fender mostly pealed the other fender only has a couple of places and both doors are fine. Beats me. Had my second interview yesterday, I have a problem evaluating how the interview went, OK I think. I should know something in about a week. Thanks for asking....

mwg55: Carl, Sorry to bother you again but do you have any experience with body work? I have to be the worlds worst. I am trying to do alot of the work myself, I have done everything so far. I have sanded the front fenders and doors down to bare metal and sparyed them with 2K Urethane high build primer last week. I started to sand them smooth today and in some places on the fenders the paint just peeled off. Do you know what is wrong. Could it be the temp to cold. I got the air temp in the garage about 60 but the metal I am sure is colder. I will post new pics today. Thanks...
