lrays: Hey, I looked at my old engine that was in the car and it also has an 8" balancer. I don't think whoever installed the previous engine used the JTR kit. It looks to be some mounts that they fabricated. The engine sits up high. I'm sure that's the reason for the hood scoupe otherwise the 4 barrel carb would touch the inside of the hood when closed. We should have the engine installed within a couple of days so hopefully it will fit in well. Larry...
