SurvivorXR7: Hey Shirley Yeah 22 mph used to be considered pretty good. ........Not anymore I got my Elantra last September and Hyundai was having a tough time selling them so they offered $1,000 cash back. It is a phenomenal car. It came loaded with 6 airbags, free XM radio for 3 months, an ipod hook-up, fog lights, vanity mirrors, heated rearview mirror, fold down rear seats all standard. the trunk is big, the interior is bigger than one would expect, very peppy, minimal wind noise. The quality of the materials and fit and finish is way up, It's an all new design. Very comfortable to drive. I think it is comparable to a Honda. The car after the $1,000 cash back only cost me $15,400 brand new And the warranty is unheard of! 10 years 100,000 on the power train 5 years bumper to bumper but you could opt for bumper to bumper for 100,00 miles for 1,200 extra. I am averaging 35 mph highway!!! Only a Toyota Prius Hybrid gets better milage. I think in the coming months with the rising price of gas you are gonna see more Elantra's on the road. Al...
