mwg55: Hi Jake, It has been awhile. Since I took this new job I haven't had the time to do much on the Monte. I did, however, find the time to put a new tank in. When I was underneath the car I noticed that I must have caught the vent line that goes to carbon Canister up front when I lowered the body down on the frame. Now the line is kinked and trapped between the body and the rear crossmember. To fix this I am going to have to loosen all the body bolts, raise the body and splice the line. (I hope). Is this line really that necessary? what would happen if I left it alone, would it effect the way it runs. Do you know? Anyway the weather is starting to get nice and I've got to get back to work on the car. Thanks Mike...

mwg55: Hi Jake, Yep got the peeling problem solved. At least the primer isn't flaking off. A buddy and I were thinking of starting a Soda Blasting company and had a demonstration done at my house and I used the front fender as a demo piece. We blasted the fender and I just wiped it down with prep-sol and primed, and it peeled. I did a little more research and found they recommend washing the surface with vinager to neutralize the soda, did that, re-Prep-Sol'ed and primed. It stuck this time. My buddy went ahead and bought the Soda Blasting equipment. It shoots Sodium Bicarbonate, glass, walnut shells and potasium. This is all enviromentally and human safe. It you know anyone that needs some blasting done, anything, cars, wood, concrete, etc. let me know I'll get you his details. I didn't get into it, long and ugly story. Mike...

mwg55: Hi Jake, Haven't heard from you in a while, hope all is well. You mentioned that you lived about 8 miles from Champaign, well I just accepted a job in Danville, small world. Mike...
