gen3torrie: hey ian well im now looking for a new torana as i got out in the shed today after a while of doing nothing to it and inspected the backend. It's fairly rusted in and out it was mainly fibreglass and bog. Makes me think what else is fibreglass. So im lookin out for another one possibly around $5,000. would you know off any for sale around that price? well anyway catch yah ill let u noe when i find another one that hasnt got much rust cheers, Josh...
trueblueford351: Will miss the XY when it goes,had a 2002 Monaro 6speed manual till 2006 (hence I know about resale)but still prefered to drive the Falcon and it only had the 351 then.Cant knock the the new machines ,they combine the speed and power with new elements of safety, handling, reliability, and even fuel economy that my Falcon would never archieve.But they just don't seem to have the brute power or should I say the feel of torque power you get from the older cars. My Falcon isnt a daily driver but I still do 12,000 to 15,000 miles in her.Just get great pleasure from driving her.Major down side is fuel .On average it would use twice as much fuel as the Monaro for the same distance. ...
