Sorry you are having so much bad luck. As you probably already know the Parizis clean up real good. Keep if you can. Good luck.

It seems like it could be easy to fix the lower a arm, isn't it the same as a caprice? go to a junk yard. What exactly happened with the tie rod, what made it fail? It would be intresting since I have a B body too, try to watch out from it

thanks, glad you like the vic.
I was thinkin after reading your update, have you made sure its not just the sway bar thats bent? those lower control arms have stress points that give, and it should be real obvious if its bent, and it takes a BIG impact to bend those. I broadsided a curb with a front rim at 15 mph in my old car, and it just barely bent the control arm... Id hate to see that car be gottn rid of!
also, you shoudl have a fair amount of play putting the link back in, you may even have to press on the bar end to get the link all the way back in.
let me know what you do either way!

Very nice car. I have the exact same car only it's an '85. It's the same colour, but I'm changing the light blue exterior to a dark blue metallic. Mine has the factory 305 Chev motor that can really haul ass and lay 70' of rubber. My advice to you: change the 307 to a 305. That means the engine mounts and transmission to. You need a 4 speed automatic chev tranny. Olds transmission (which is what you have) won't bolt on.
You'll get about 22 city, 26 hwy milage. My family has four Parisiennes. Darn nice cars, but need to be well maintained to keep from rusting. I've got 15x7" Pontiac Snowflake rims on mine. It did have hub caps which looked nice, but I wanted the aluminum snowflakes. I've got some bodywork to go on it, but whatever you do, keep that car, and in good shape. The 305 is a much better choice. Our '83 Parisienne has a 307 and 3 speed auto, does about 10 MPG in the winter. Your car would probably have the aluminum hood if it came with the 307 from the factory. Keep that for saving weight. 305's in Parisiennes came with factory bigger camshafts for more power, and if you open the exhaust on a 305 you'll get about 40 horses more. (headers and dual exhaust.) I've raced hondas with my dad's '86 305 Parisienne, and won every time. Chev overdrive transmissions have a 3.06:1 first gear ratio that will take off a lot faster than any other transmission. Email me sometime. JakeMWiebe@Hotmail.com

Dave,
Thanks for checking out my wagon. Your Parisienne is sweet. I've seen it before, but I haven't had time to comment (please don't hurt me). My driveway isn't that crowded, add one more car to that lot (99 Pontiac Grand Prix SE), and that's how much room we really have.
Hey Dude, I'm the owner of a Yahoo E-Mailing list that focuses on the Big Pontiacs of the 70's and 80's, expecially the Parisienne. It would be great to have you on. It's called Full-Size Pontiac, and you can check it out here: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/full_size_pontiac/
As well, if you like, I can post a pic of your car on my personal website. Check that out here: http://stillruns.com/land-barge
that's all for now, catch ya later...
Cheers
