very sweet rides, i have two ponts of my own 79 firebird 455 i have 230 posted but it needs to be dyno'd. i also have a 98 sunfire gt 5spd... also my parents have a 88 astro van rally sport (rs) 4.3 that thing moves!!! come check out my cars.

Supercharger? on a 3.4....from a 3.8? Always wondered if that would work out....cant even change the spark plugs in these vans without dropping the engine...how did ya do it?

you should drop in a 350 with a ram air or throw out the 3.4L and throw in a 3.8L supercharged series 2 kyle :)

turbo.. nah.. GM supercharger is the way to go wink wink lol.. mind you some relocating has to be done... I didn't have to change my hood.. but I have seen pics from GM with a ram air hood for the thunder.. so I was looking at upgrading to that.. posssibly..

dude, nice, i have a 99 montana, and the thing is pretty fast already (beaten civics, a caviliar, camry, and just tonight another van :) ) but what do you think i should do to get some more power out of it. I was thinking a turbo, but it would be a very tight fit and doubt it would be able to be done without some modifications to the hood and such, but whats your thoughts?

Well, added an intake, and retrofitted a S/C that is similar to the one you can get with the Grand AM GT,.. (the one that is VERY VERY hard to come by...) so its at about 230ish now... LOL no thats not 230 HP "Canadian.." smart ass lol... So far shes got 40,000km on it and lovin every bit... still turns heads even though there are 3 other around my part of town.. (their's aren't as clean)

Hey now, don't knock the Thunder. I have to say, this is about as "un-minivan" as a minivan can get. I have the exact same one and it feels/handles like an SUV. Lots of power. I would like to know what you're talking about with the 230 hp upgrade. Is that 230 Canadian!? ;)
