Oh hey if you want email me at hp550c_2000@yahoo.com.
I want to somehow try and find a way to get a picture of my Astre GT on here that I have on an old picture. Dude mine looks so much nicer in Red with a white vinyl roof and white strips, I wish you could see this.

Thats is so awesome, because I had a 1975 Pontiac Astre GT that was red with a with vinyl roof and white strips like yours. I had a chevelle 350 with an ss chevelle turbo 400 automatic and it was awesome, I miss that car and hey if you ever want to sell that Astre, I want one again. My exhaust where headers that flanked to the side of the car so I had to get this exhaust system that hung on the side of the car with narrow but long turbo mufflers and ended right in front of the back tires. The car looked really mean from the front and the rear. I miss that car so much! there are none around, I have looked all over and yours is the only that I have seen and not only that yours is a hard top without vinyl room like mine. Mine was bought brand new from Tom Hatton Pontiac in Rockville, MD. By my mother, I still have a picture of it with my mom posing next to her brand new 1975 Pontiac Astre GT in Red and white.

nice ride...i just bought a 75 astre and its got the original 4 banger and 4-speed saganaw trans. i've owned an 80 monza, and a 73 vega both converted to v8's. but that was some time ago and the parts are becoming scarce. i want to build this car for street/ strip use, and any info you can help me out with would be apreciated.like i cant find stock motor mounts/brackets anywhere. i know about trans dapt motor mount set up, but would have to dump the 4-speed for an automatic. right now i'm getting the parts to convert to 5 lug with S10 spindles and full differential.i will post pics. as soon as i find out how to. thanks for the time, and again any info is good info....thanks feel free to contact me any time. albert

Dude, Awesome car and great story. Good to see you're finally on the road and it has been a bit of an inspiration for me to get here too. Oh, and get the admins of this site to have a Pontiac Astre section.

thats a pretty cool Astre, Ididn't know they came in a GT version either. I have a 1972 Vega, and am currently looking at a 1977 Pontiac Astre with 28,000 actual miles on it, and was garage kept since new. it looks brand new, and I want it bad. come by and check out my Vega page sometime, I have some videos of my vega at the bottom of the first page.
