Hi Ian, thank you for the comments on my car. I was the young guy talking to about your car for ages at Toranafest. Your car is a big inspiration to me. I will be joining the STC when my car is back on the blacktop.

Got a giggle out of the old girl doing security duty, However, you should give her a lesson in security, because she had her head stuck in a book!
All the best in future shows, Steve and Sandy

G'day Ian,
I am glad your mate repainted his bonnet. i think I have changed from speed demon tyr fryer to more of a 'purist', I must be getting old! I do wish his car had stayed over on this side of the ditch though. I wonder how many of those 6 barbados green L34's are left?? It is unfortunate that we kiwis are losing classic cars back to OZ. I'd like them to stay here. I know an old guy who has an original LJ XU1 Bathurst Model. It is up on blocks in his shed (been there for 25 years I think.)with only 20,000 on the clock! he is only the second owner and still has all the books etc. His plan is to take it back to OZ and sell it as his retirement money. What a bugger! If you have any other photos of your torana could you send me couple. scott.giltrap@xtra.co.nz
Catch you later.

G'day Again,
I had another look at your page and noticed that there was another page with more awesome toranas. you are lucky over there in OZ. You have some mates with some nice toranas. I would have to say my favourite would be the barbados green L34(I am a bit biased!) was that for sale on that Australian muscle cars site?
I don't mind the wheels on my car, I have grown to like them, although I imagine I will get some original ones for it if I come across some. One thing I have noticed is that those low profile(235/45/17) tyres hold the road better than any tyres I have had before. My old blue one had 265/50/14's and they were nothing on my current ones.
Happy Torana Driving!!

Thanx for ur comments mate, ur Torana is awesome! I'm not a flares guy but they absolutely suit ur car! I like ur fuel filler lock too. Great job. Ummm I used a Datsun 120Y coupe heater unit which fits nicely under the dash in front of a VN Commodore centre console. I'll post some photos soon.

G'Day, Thanks for the comments on my car. The bumper was just off for a few days, and you are probably the only person who likes those mags. I am unsure of them myself. They were on the car when I got it. I will probably get some original ones for it though since nearly everything else on the car is original. Your car looks bloody awesome. It is good to see a car that is made to handle as well. A lot of guys with old holdens spend all their $$$ on the power and forget that it needs top go around corners.
