Awesome job!!! I had a 1987, what I call the first of the import tuners. I drove it for 170k and loved every minute of it. Let me know if you're ever interested in selling the Sprint, It looks day 1 + 1!!

Awesome Sprint! I never knew they could look that good! I like the stock rims too, you should put some chrome trim rings on them to set them off. 5 stars!

I am visiting the bay area and getting my Sprint Turbo still residing there sorted a bit before driving it to Portland OR (this trip, or more likely a future one). Maybe I could check out your's in early May?

Hey, nice looking setup. What are you using to tune it? I might be able to offer a little help depending on what youre tuning with. Also do you know of anyone with the stock IHI RHB3 turbo off one of those? I'm looking for a used one for a good price. If you know of anyone or need any tuning help email me back Blcva1@aol.com

Nice ride. I'd like your help, I have a 1978 hond civic with a 1.3 liter. After I grad I get a 8000$ loan and im dumping it all into my ride. Most of the motor work has been custom and i really want a turbo Im thinking of a sprint turbo but I'd like to find out what kind of PSI it can push I'd just be using the turbo the rest I will make. If you could e-mail me at mikey_mackdad88@hotmail.com and send it as TURBO that would be great and you would help me a lot. Peace

Hey i have a 1987 suzuki forsa turbo charged 1.0 litre like you its great for me because of power and fuel economy. Wow these are one great car. Do you know if you can get an aftermarket turbo for it? My turbo is all stalk but I wouldent mind repolaceing the wastegate with a blow off valve to make for a little more of a blow off noise. Hey can you get boost guages on the pillar by the windshield for it? Thanks.

actually i have an 87 sprint turbo that looks exactly like yours, on the outside, and ive been looking on this site for somebody who is not making an embaressment out of these awesome little cars. im actually in the process of rebuilding mine. so i guess my question is if there are any pointers, parts, places to look or anything to make my car a sucessful sprint similar to yours. my email is max@stlgeek.net, hit me back, peace and good luck on your sprint.

the rims from mazda 323 size 13 the tires
195 50 13r is the size that you have to put on to
fit in your car you also need 2 spacers in the front

nice project. I have a similar one 1987 suzuki forza non factory turbo(same chevrolet sprint ) and i buy a original factory turbo motor and is a real pocket rocket and a good sleeper. I have a little experience on this cars because a already have 4 of them and I know much about.
First i recomended to you change the factory turbo because tha IHI turbo is very good for street but for serial power is gone. broke easy because spool very fast because is very small. i do in the speedway 15.40@87mph in the stock turbo and all the motor exepc running @12 psi.this is the maximun you can extract whitout change anything just up the bust via the factory waste gate.Is good but the turbo broke.
bomberitorazing. if you have a sprint turbo you can change the flyweel to the 1.3 flyweel, is better because is more light and you can use a bigger clutch and with that you eliminate the clutch slip.
Some of the things I do in my proyect
custom camshaft, spings and valves
complete port and polish
bigger pistons(1994 suzuki vitara 1.6)
bore the block .40
custom aluminum intake
custom throttle
garett t25 turbo(from 1999 mitsubishi eclipse)
turbonetics external wastegate
hks blow off
elecronic hks boost controler
greddy turbo timer
greddy e-manage (piggyback engine controler)
1.3 flyweel
1.3 clutch
KYB shocks with toyota tercel 1999 suspencion in the front only
And if i remember more i tell you later
you can write to me if you need more information or doubt just ask barry_98@yahoo.com or post here your message
