yesterdayi found a 92 chrysler imperial w/ a 3.8. i was going to buy the intake off the car but (although it looked the same
as the 3.3) are they they the same or is that larger than the 3.3 ? it did have a 58mm TB on it

I just bought the 3.3 v6 and i should have pics up by the time you read this i got the 3.0 in the aries but it would'nt start
thought it was a wiring issue but turns out the block was cracked (between 1 & 2)so i decide to go with the 3.3v6 but i need your help on the rebuild/ perfomance

sorry, typo. the 523 is the later 5spd. the 525 was the piece of junk 5spd that they used pre 87 k based cars and all L bodies.

hey Vigo...long time no talk too!
was just perusing your site and read about the upgrade to a 3.8! my advice is to get one from a newer van (late model has more power) and adapt the wiring. also, if you REALLY want to get into street racing, a 5spd would be cool. as you probably know, the mitsu 3.0 has a different bellhousing than the dodge 3.3,3.8 so you can't use the 543 (v6 version of the 525 5spd for the 2.2/2.5. but i heard it "wispered" in the TD community that the 2.7 v6 stratus had a rare 5spd option and the chrysler 2.7 shares the same bolt pattern with the 3.3/3.8. that would be a lot of fun. your car would be nearly as quick as a spirit rt, but without a turbo and you'd have lots of low end torque! just ideas...its fun to dream of possibilities....PEACE!

I had to modify the rear hubs to bolt to the dynasty axle. The brakes have been there for years though. The car went through many brake setups but this one is fine with me.
As for your delayed engagement, i would first check to make sure the caliper pistons move freely. a sticking caliper would not engage the rotor until it was given a lot of pressure. Also, be sure you have the calipers on the right sides. IF the bleeder is not on top and the calipers arent bled properly they would engage late or not at all, but you would likely feel that in the pedal.

Holy crap! another Dynasty with vented rear rotors! I thought I was the first.
I'm wondering if the backing plates for the bigger rotors had a different bolt pattern than your originals. I was absolutely pissed when I had the car on stands and got slapped in the face with that one. Good thing cast oron is easy to drill.
I'm aslo having problems with initial "bite", do you have any ideas? rotor "torque" is great, but the brakes are slow to respond.

Like your ride... got one just like it (kinda). I even had the same kind of collision. Not lowered or anything, but when I slammed on my brakes, the front end went down enough for the bumpers to totally miss. I'm glad MY car took the beating instead of the other guy. It only cost about $250 to fix everything... (rf fender, header panel, grille, headlights, hood, radiator, AC condenser, I had a spare plug wire, coolant overflow tank, battery tray.) It's strange, but the optima battery was completely undamaged, but the tray was destroyed. Take a look at my beast sometime, will be adding a supercharger and sunroof soon.
