That's a clean ride you have. The informational pages are the best. Nice job, 5*.
As for the orange engine. I agree it looks better than turquoise. But you mentioned possibly selling the car when finished or some where along the way. To get your max $$ out of it, it's always best to go original (turquoise).
If you're building it to keep, it's a blank canvas. IMO.

Saw your comments on another page regarding interior. I would stay clear of Faustinos in La Verne on Arrow and "D" Street. They are reasonable, but you get what you pay for...sloppy work.

Good morning,
just to answer a few of your question with reguards to restoring parts. For the steering column i blasted it,primed and painted. SEM dye/ paints are very good. For the steering gear i used a rebuild kit and primed and painted and the brake booster i sent out for rebuild. I use whatever is available for restoring parts i.e. sand blasting, sometimes sanding by hand.I have a dremel tool with all the different attachments tha works really well on small parts and for polishing trim pieces. Also a wire wheel on you cordless drill works well,i.e restoring bolts. I pretty much take everything down to bare metal, use a good etching primer and paint.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Thanks for the comments on the car. Every Mopar is a classic to me and deserve the recognition and the restoration. Your Charger is one nice car and with the hard work you are doing on it it will no doubt be a real head turner.

Great project. Love those old Mopars. Spent many of my younger days cruising in them. Never owned a Mopar of my own but several of my friends had them. I was always the Pontiac guy. Now that I think about it, I was the only Pontiac guy. Oh well, I had a great time. Keep us posted. Later, Kenny

Looks like the projects going nicely, and thanks for the compliments. I might just make a seperate ride page for his Coronet rather than filling mine with his pictures, I get to that when I get time I guess
