Actually changed my mind about the grill. It looks way better now that I got the clear corners and matches the rims as well. Anything new?

Did the install with a friend. I took like 5-10 minutes to get off all the old plastic stock intake parts. 5 minutes to strap it on lol. Now that you mention it, I think we had that problem. Strangely I think we found an extra slot for it to insert into. I will take apart the intake tomorrow or this weekend if I can and take a closer look for you. Be sure to remind me by Sunday if I haven't lol. If I do have it hooked up I'll find it....

I'd get the Injen CAI if I had the chance to. Sounds like a good move. Let me know when you start the boost project too. Should be interesting. Thanks for brushing me up on the corner lights. I can finally get that out of the way lol. Talk to you later on and peace.

Well after the recall replacement and then the 2nd MAF replacement under warranty I was ok. The check engine light came on after I dropped in the intake but I didn't notice any negative performance and only could point out the positive changes. The shop said the intake was getting too much unrestricted airflow causing MAF sensor to malfunction. Everything is hooked up secure and doesn't seem to be pulling air anywhere but through the filter. No air-flow changes happened with MAF replacements. Its been ok lately for me though and no CEL.

Thats good to know. I will be sure to get on it. It will probably work good that way. Yep its a 1.6. My MAF screws were stripped too. Luckily, the dealer replaced them and the plastic mount after the new sensor messed up again lol.

I think I will. Just working within the laws around here so I'll double check the speifics. The intake makes a difference. I don't race or anything but you can tell a big difference in the acceleration. It also sounds great. I wanted a cold air intake but the short ram has done just fine. The check engine light came on for a while after the install because the MAF sensor was messing up.(The people at one shop said it was getting too much air? If you can explain this to me please do.) Alot of people had problems after installing their intakes with the sensor I heard but I also had the sensor replaced twice. Once for the recall, and another time but under warranty as well. Recently, the sensor has been doing great though. No more check engine light and happy cruising. I think you'll enjoy it :) . Thanks for checking out the page!
