this is a pic of the tank and pulley removed, along with the 2 lines that run to each

this is the ac condenser i was talking about, which is hidden in your bumper. just unscrew the 4 bolts on top of the radiator that hold it in place, and you can literally just pull out this condeser. i dont know who spray painted FU on it, but it is not directed towards you.

ok your car is an 86 like mine, so it uses a v belt set up, which means there are maybe 2,3, or 4 small belts that might go around one or two pullys each. you are thinking you have a serpentine belt, which is one big belt for all the pullys. the ac belt is completely removable, it doesnt control anything else. it just goes areound the ac pully, and the water pump, it spins off the water pump. the water pump has i think 2 other belts on it, so it is unaffected when you remove the ac belt to remove the ac system. the ac system removal doesnt effect the heat at all. you just remove belt, then the silver tank mounted on the firewall, remove the pully and all the hoses connected to that and the tank, and the condeser which is behind the radiator. it takes less than a half hour. does not affect your heat at all. if you want i can take pics of my engine and show you specifically the stuff i took out. my heat works totally fine, it is totally seperate from the ac.

since you wont be using your ac, just take it out. you will get like 3 horsepower by removing the pully, and just the pully itself weighs 30 pounds so you also save weight. also, when you remove the ac condenser, you allow the coolest air possible to your radiator so your car will run cooler. i removed my ac in a half hour it was easy. cleans up the engine bay too, less hoses laying around. i guess i am a big fan of removing ac lol if you need help just ask but i think it's a very good mod.

Oh, I already fixed the hose. This weekend I'm going to make a bracket to keep it from ever happening again.

Nice Camaro man, I just finished sanding and priming the passenger side of my Trans Am yesterday. I had a problem with my hatch motor also once i put my fiberglass notch on. I didnt really care much cuz i really only took it up and down the road and eventually it just started working again haha.
