if i were you i would change the engine block for the 2jz because is bigger and stronger and you dont have to make any modifications.
or change the engine for the 2jz

nice job with cressida. did you do the engine swap, or did you buy it with the 1JZ? just curious why you are using a RB20DET fuel pump. The stock one for the 1JZ cars is better than the RB20 one. Stop by and check out my Chaser sometime and let me know what you think. peace

Well, how i see it now, in japan very rare these models come with the 1jz....But 90% its swaps, my 1jz is'nt getting the full stock power output yet, getting 227HP out of it, 280 is the stock level, reason is the LSD and i dont get to rev past 5600RPM dunno why, theres a switch i have to wire to get up to 8000rpm, have'nt gotten it yet. Also only 6psi of boost, so thats another reason....i was going with a 7M-GTE at first till i saw the 1jz, took it one time lol....works good, trying to get money for upgraded brakes :)

Sup dude. Thanks for checking out my ride. I'm running the trusty old 7M-GTE in my car. Alot of ppl are going 1JZs on there A70s in the states but the 7M is plenty capable.
Pretty interesting ride you got there. I like the Cressida sedans. Now, did they come with the 1JZ over there? If so that's pretty crazy. US versions of the car came with the 5M and later on the 7M....never turboed though. I've come across a couple on the internet with either a 7M-GTE swap or a 1JZ.

yo man, sorry, i have'nt been able to find a website selling cressida kits, for this model or the older ones....the sides i used is Mitsu. Lancer sides, the back, was made for a Acura Legend, the front, im going to customize a supra vielside front to fit it....its best you custom the kit on a cressida, it'll look better....i have a japanese book with original cressida kits but its only in japan i see they selling it and i dont understand japanese that much as yet so i cant really tell where in japan has it...if i get anything i'll let you no.
