hey nice ute. ive got a 1989 myself and i need help with the interiro. how did you do the dash? how much did the seats cost and how did you do the door trims?

hey mate. youve done a really good job. im not a big fan of the steering wheel. i plan on keeping my orig. steering wheel in my lux, but each to their own. anyway, i love on the gold coast too and i have a 91 model lux. tray back. and am having the same prob with the taco guage, but im trying to putin a taco out of a celica (only cuz where i work i got heaps of them floating around) and putting it in a diesel lux dash cluster. ive got the taco working but i need to find the woring for the speedo. ive come too far to just buy another cluster. anyway you should check out my page, and see what you think about my door trims. i wouldnt mind putting like a white strip through it. any ideas...well let me know man

Hey. yea the dash lol. it was simple in theory. Pretty much, i took the dash and stereo surround off and removed the gauge cluster out and took the dials off. soaked it in boiling water for bout half hr then prised off the clear cover with a knife. pretty simple but just dont put too much pressure on it cuz i snapped a timy corner off. lucky it was under the dash anyway. good luck with it. let us know how it goes.
