i just bought my firebird in june, so I havent had a winter with it yet. I live in Chicago,so we get a good amount of snow, I know u get snow too; so tell me, will I be able to drive in the snow or what. Is it too risky or is it just a minor thing to worry about??

The cleaning and all the stuff done to the car so far hasn't really been hard work, not at all. It's been a blast to bring the car back as has happened so far, just had been a lot to do.
You've got an advantage with yours... it's black. Grease under the hood isn't nearly as obvious on the body parts under the hood.

Sorry for the slow response. . . lol The rims are 17" front and 18" rear from a 1998 Corvette.
You've got a very nice ride, I'm impressed! Very clean!
Check my site out again sometime, I just uploaded some new pictures, including some nice night shots. Keep up the good work!

My first cleaning of the engine bay I used Gunk Engine Bright. The problem was that grease had been on the strut towers for sooo long that it was almost embedded in the paint, and I always worry about wetting the wiring harness when I use that stuff.
Last night I hung the million candlepower halogen worklight from the latch loop on the underside of the hood. Armed with a can of Turtle Wax Oxy Power Out! upholstery cleaner (yeah, you friggin' read that right), a toothbrush and a roll of paper towels... I waged war on anything that wasn't parts or paint.
The toothbrush got under things I just couldn't get to otherwise and it did a great job of removing the grease. It's very powerful stuff, especially when used with the exact bristles found on a toothbrush. After brushing each area, paper towels were used to remove the mess.
The car is cleaning up incredibly well. I'm also gonna get UNDER the car as well. Ever hear of that roll-on, super-tough pickup bed liner? That'll be my undercoating.
Oh and on a non-firebird related note... I ordered a set of double angel-eye projector headlights for my Grand Prix GT. Things are going so well with the Firebird that the GT is gonna also become a focus in the coming days (daze?)

DUDE I scored a set of 18x8.5" ANTERA chrome rims. They got tires on them but they're too big cause they were on an S10 pickup last.
I hunted down a set of 4 low pros that should fit IN BENSALEM. Gonna call and hopefully snag them tomorrow.
The rims are INSANE looking! They're italian-made. The valve stems are BENEATH THE CENTER CAPS... ever hear o' that shit?
I took one of them into the living room and cleaned it up. All I know is the bird is gonna look completely off da hook.
ALSO I figured out whet to do with the sound sys. Can't find illuminated red speakers (go figure). Getting a set of 6 Xplod speakers and planting hidden white LEDs under the "grill" pieces to light 'em up. They're already red. I'll top it off with an Xplod sub in a custom cabinet in the back. Already got an Xplod head unit installed.
I spent tonite cleaning under the hood. With a toothbrush. ...Seriously.
