Beautiful Monterey!! My dad had a 68 but now it doesn't look anything like yours; rust took its toll on it. We pulled the drivetrain and everything not much thats good on ours. Its hard to find Montereys these days, been looking, such a beauty!! Good luck with it!!

Just saw your ride was recently updated, so I had to check it out! Anyway, I like what I see! How long have you owned it? Any more major performance work you'd like to do? I gave ya ***** 5 ***** Stars- I'll try to check back in a while. Check out my MAZDA Protege 2004 sometime and let me know what you think! ~ Dj Alex

That's one sweet Merc. I have my grandfather's 1968 Meteor (it's a Rideau 500 - Canadian version of the Monterey) but yours is in much better shape. Love it. I have no pics on the site yet, but check it out when I do.

Hey it's really cool to hear from you! Tom (my brother, who bought the car from you) lives in DeForest too. The car is still kept in Kendall though.
Well we had a lot of fun for a couple of summers without doing much to the engine. One time some mice vandalized it and ate all the spark plug wires. That wasn't too hard to fix though. We had to put a fuel pump on it and some other small things. But the oil pressure kept getting lower and lower. So the engine you see in the car now is a 4-barrel 390 from a pickup truck. The original engine is sitting on the stand. We'll probably rebuild it at some point.
Small world I guess... Keep an eye out for the old Merc this summer!

Howdy. I used to own this car when I lived in Kendall. Did you do anything to the inside of the 390? C-ya.
