shit i'm happy i don't drive a neon hahahaha....so yea i understand bro. its all good....i found out i need a tune up..i had gotten one a year and a half ago...so its weird i need another one so soon. but any who i did get some things fixed and i'm driving the car..so far so good...it feels real nice..smooth too. it will only get better as i fix it...i hope lol. but for now i need to get fix the steering pump and get a tune up...the oil leak isn't so bad...so i think i might be able to hold out on that for a lil till i fix the other stuff.
oh ok so the master cylinder just needs to be picked up...i remember you were saying your going to fix it...so hopefully you'll get that done. as long as the car drives ok until you get the repairs done. anytime this week you'll fix it or?.... i'm going to check out the web site..i'll take your word that the site is good lol...but i'm going to look it up soon hopefully and i''ll sign up. your screen name for that site is? keep me post....hey you get any new pics of the chrome hinges?

I suspected it was a 3.8 - that's a great engine. Good low end torque out of the box and lots of mods available for em. I cot a chip that did some things and killed the governer in my GP. it can get up to 130 if I wanted it to, but I just maxed at 110 or so, 115 in the FB once and even that had more to give... just don't get there as fast.

I'm getting white leather to 2 tone the door panels (flat part). Was thinking bout some careful white painting of the stereo bezel and console top... something like a million coats and clearcoat and NO RUNS. I like the seats in these cars. Shake my head when I see people plant racing seats unless they're going to the track. Only problem is the headrests are a little cheap. The lumbar and g-force adjustments are prime, especially on both sides.

That's why I thought 3 oval holes in blackout lenses. The final touch being sequential turn signal lite modifications. blink, blink, blink... picture that?

yea bro i got my car back...she's ok. but she still needs a lil more work :/....yea man the more work i put in the newer the car becomes lol. i should just fix it all hahaha. i have some kind of a miss fire..the mechanic said it might need a tune up..or just replace the spark plugs. my power steering pump needs to be replace or the pulley? not sure really....and the oil leaks lol. i cant wait either till the spring...and man i'm mad cuz i could have gotten some rims with all the work i've done lately..but like i said..its all good lol....i just wanna cruz with the t-tops off. and relax in the sun haha...

Yo man that sounds pretty cool bro...man that must have been fun as hell!!! so he had a 6 aswell? it must have been awesome to beat him about 4 cars lengths...he might have wondered if you have the v8 formula...i doubt he noticed the cutout...maybe he did..but i'm sure he thou u had a 8..so that's a great thing too..your bird is so fast bro lol.
you know Saturday morning i was on my way to the shop to get the alternator replaced...i flew by a tans am..95-97..blck...beautiful bird bro...so i did the fly by and eventfully he caught up to me...so he pulls up and he revving that badd ass v8 lol...sounded real sweet..then he just took off...i couldn't race because my car was dyeing on me cuz the alternator was not charging my battery...so i had no power...but it was pretty fun....but not as fun as the race you had haha.

Nice work on the Birebird, Kyle. You haven't left anything untouched. I like the mirrors under the hood. I guess that's the plastic mirror stuff? Very cool effect.

I did find a better quality brushed aluminum set, but that's for my Grand Prix GT. They seem to have forgotten about the Firebirds with the formed poly trim sets for some stupid reason.
I'm thinking of getting a blackout tail lens set, painting their insides opaque black, then carefully cutting out 3 ovals in each to change the appearance of the tail lights. Don't know if it'll look great, but instinct tells me it will, and hasn't been wrong yet.
Nice acceleration, similar to my Grand Prix. Got the 3800 under the hood or the LS1? It sounded like a six. Don't tell me it's a 3.4 or it will send me scrambling. I just added a flowmaster dual last week and it made a difference, but my GP still is king.
Anyway, your ride is DEFINITELY show-worthy. You got a lot to be proud of. Top Shelf ride... 5 stars...

sup Kyle! i fixed my car....the other day i got it back....i replaced the alternator....but today i drove my car and the alternator wasn't charging the car well. its not strong...so i don't know what to do...i have the warranty..but my car wont make it..at least i don't think so....i really don't want the same thing to happen to me like before...the car dyeing and all....very frustrating lol. how's its going?

Personally, Ive always been a fan of the 98-02 Honeycomb lights. I was gonna put them on my 96 Firebird... but seeing as I have a 00 Trans Am now.. I didnt need to do that lol. But the Trans Am/Formula taillights for the 93-97's look good too.
Look into getting the Trans Am sideskirts and rear bumper, they look better than any body kit you can get for the Firebird and Formula IMO and will obviously match the Trans Am front bumper if you end up getting it (I was happy with it).

Thanks bro. At first Im just gonna do cosmetic stuff (Firehawk hood, 17" C6 chrome rims, lower it an inch)... then down the line I'll probably just add some simple performance mods (new cam, headers back exhaust ect..)

bad news...i went to pick up the bird....she died on me on the way home *alternator*..i missed the exit because i was on the phone and from there i was just completely lost on the road..not only that but i lost it myself lol..i was going crazy out there..screaming yelling lol.....after a half hour my mechanic showed up and put in a fresh battery in..i drove it and made it to the shop....but it was horrible bro. just nothing but bad luck ..and i missed my night class as well. some dude stopped and help me out...he owned 5 Camaros so he was like i had to help you out lol..he thou i had the v8 lol...but he was real cool..he put the car in neutral and rolled the car off the exit,treisd a jump start..thats when my mechanic came in and did is job....there was a sheriff cop just busting my chops too bro...asking for all my information..took my licence ect..even my phone number? lol. but w-e...now the car is at the shop the alternator should be replaced tomorrow i think.
the hinges look nice from that one pic...but once you get a better pic i'm sure the detail of the chrome would show even better..keep me post. so far so good bro...
