Hey, the door panel mods I mentioned?... the possibilities are LIMITLESS. My first idea was to buy from Ebay, some 1/16th inch thick aluminum sheets that have 1/4 inch holes in them in an offset pattern, and install that where I've decided to put leather instead. Hell, if you found large enough pieces of that plastic mirror stuff, you could have mirrored door panels! TONS of possibilities. Add a Lambo 90 degree kit afterwards, you got a showstopper on your hands...

I'll do better than a writeup. I'll take pics too. Got ideas brewing 24/7... freaking dreaming things even. The doors will be the easy part. Check out the flat face on the door panels on your bird. Notice that the panels are basically a big plastic frame, with a flat piece mounted within it? When I intend to do is loosen the door handle, make a paper template with a cutout for the door handle, and shape the edges so they slip under the edge frame by 1/2 inch minimum. I'm still thinking of what adhesive I'll use, but it will be brushed on most likely. Application will involve a rounded smooth knife and small roller, pushing the edge of the leather behind everything.
The dash will be more tricky. The instrument pod bezel will relain grey. The 2nd modular piece which had the 3 registers will be removed and finished in white leather. Got that worked out now. Will involve some fine hand-stitching, but not much. When it's done this will look SICK.
I see where you're coming from with the blue, but I'm sticking to black, grey, white for now. I may do something a little more subdued with color but not sure what yet.
Oh, and the brushed aluminum gauge plate I recently installed will be removed and painted white also.
I don't know what has me more stoked... the inside or the outside mods. I feel like I'm gonna jump outa my skin until I get started. I'm not waiting for warm weather for the interior so that'll come first.

you know if ur motor ever dies...id look into just buying a replacement one and kinda leave the motor more or less stock and looking into buying a formula v8 bird...few and kinda far between but they wont run you too much money and its a great start runnin quick 1/4's when you got that 350 to work with. look through an autotrader at a 7eleven or somethin..

Love the engine dress up...the mirrors under the hood are very origional...5 stars for that one, shoulda done a dress up while i was swappin motors-woulda been too easy, was in a hurry to get her started though :( I could only work on her after work and the shop i was renting was only open for about an hour or two after i got off work and on the weekends so it took me about 3 weeks :( pullin that 5.7 outta the bird was no joke...

The lights inside and out do not turn on..um i don't even get a kind of click if i turn the ignition. The alternator is brand new..the battery and starter is 8-9 months old. electrical issues I'm sure..but what kind..lol i have no idea....????? can you help?

dang dude that sucks, how much they took?...where did you buy the MC? I normally buy my parts from the shop cuz they got a thing with NAPA parts. So anything defective normally is covered by a warranty. So i'm hoping you have a warranty from the place you got it from......i took my car to get a tune up yesterday...my plugs were shot..it needed to be replaced..so that was a good tune up needed lol....i paid about 140..which is pretty cheap. my bro borrowed my car today...he took my lil sis to the DMV...the car died there..it needed a jump start..i'm like wtf lol...what's wrong with this thing...lol....but after 2 hours it finally started....any who keep me post...good luck with the mc..pot new pics check them out from pgs 9-10

Not sure about the Wings West color scheme. Will determine when I hold them in place I guess. Will either be white to match, black or silver to match the rims.

I got clears on the front and aftermarket halogen headlights (couldn't wait to toss the stupid sealed beams). I'm planning to actually toss the aftermarkets though cause they're not well made, and get black projectors instead. The carbon fiber I mentioned was that I was thinking about getting a CF hood, but my problem is that there aren't any CF headlight covers also available to match. If I got the hood I'd either have to keep 'em white, or *maybe* try to find a fake CF film that matched well enough and was convincing enough to use. One helluva stretch, though cause it would be a fake film, right next to the real thing. Even if the film matched in color, it has no depth to the texture unlike real CF.
-
I also considered taking off the light cover skins and applying real CF and resin to match the hood finish. I'm not ruling that out, and since I'd need about 2 sq. ft. of the stuff, it would be inexpensive, just kinda labor intensive.
BTW: I found a Wings West body kit. Getting it Thursday or Friday for $200 locally. I'm inspired to paint it to match the silver rims, starting a silver/white theme... Using the rim color to accent the car, kinda the opposite of what I did with the Grand Prix. My gut right now says YES. Your thoughts?
